    出生：1944年7月24日

    榮獲英國賽斯大學榮譽哲學博士

氣韻神隨筆縱橫，樂動心澄墨酣暢

以「韻律書法」、「橫書縱觀」、「連綿體」、「盲毫」獨創一格，享譽台灣及東南亞的書法家王誠一在創作時，會讓自己隱入空靈之中以澄懷觀心，當樂音流轉，心境與韻律合拍的當下，潤毫、就墨後就在筆端揮灑出舒緩暢放而氣勢連綿的字體。在筆勢墨韻中隱然飄散著虛實巧運的畫意和剛柔律動的音樂性。

韻律書法

以顫動優美的音律，激勵內心澎湃而感性的音樂細胞，引發律動的靈感，閉氣揮毫，一氣呵成，神來之筆將書畫同源之妙，發揮得淋漓盡致。

盲毫

以音樂的旋律，輪入人間電腦，配合靜坐進入禪境後呈現空靈的感覺。在完全無燈光狀態下，人隨身轉心隨意變，揮動筆毫，剎那間寫出以象形行草的韻律盲毫書法。

經歷：1972年：旅居日本東京十餘年與日本書法界交遊甚密。

　　　1978年：創立大高雄國軍藝苑並舉行韻律書法發表會。

            1980年：於高雄書法學會作品展示

　　　1982年：作品應邀參加法國國科會藝術展

　　　1984年：應邀赴美國紐約、舊金山、洛杉磯、

　　　　5月　世華電視台作韻律書法當場揮毫

　　　　6月：應加州州務卿余江月桂之邀，至舊金山博愛文化中心義賣活動。

　　　1985年：參加高雄國際婦女會義賣當眾揮毫

　　　1986年：應美國洛杉磯國際蓮花節之邀，於亞裔

　　　　1月   民俗藝術活動中，當場揮毫。並獲美國總統雷根頒發榮譽獎狀。

　　　　6月：應東京亞細亞美術交流協會理事長

　　　　　　　柴原雪之邀參加國際藝術節。

　　　1987年：應國際扶輪社高雄西區社之邀，當場

                 3月　　揮毫。

                 6月：應國際獅子會之邀，於高雄國賓大飯店場揮毫。

            1988年：應逢甲大學之邀，於高雄國賓大飯店當場揮毫。

            1990~97年 : 於國際扶輪社巡迴演講韻律書法，並當眾揮毫

            1998年 : 獲英國賽斯大學榮譽哲學博士表揚中國書法王誠一之韻律書法，展現中國文化

                       的創意。

            1999年 : 獲中華民國總統府選為全國十大傑出藝術家，並與呂副總統秀蓮共同接受國際

                       和平獎，展示書法共襄盛。

            2000年 : 於屏東鯉龍山作榜書揮毫，全數以金泥書寫.

            2002年 : 接受中國電視公司訪問，於馬年書寫“馬”字各式書體.

            2003年 : 獲頒國立鳳山高中傑出校友獎並舉行書法個展。接受美國芝加哥電視台來台東

                       方文化藝術單元訪問，並當場揮毫。.

            2004年 : 應邀至大愛電視台意書寫大「佛」字(4 x 8尺)及對聯.

            2005年 : 應邀為逢甲大學張希哲校長90大壽暨廖英鳴校長95大壽書寫壽誕及對聯並展

                       示。

            2008年 : 應高雄道德院之邀為日本明仁天皇陛下堂兄伏見博明殿下一行(日本文化振興

                       會於高雄中正文化中心當場揮毫，並致送書法作品，頗受好評；同時獲頒文化

                       藝術榮譽博士學位。

                       應天台山一貫道鳳山分壇之邀書寫「道貫天地」等作品.

            2009年 : 於佛光山「雲居樓」為逢甲大學全世界校校友會新春賀歲當眾揮毫，並展示書

                       法作品。

            2010年 : 於大樹佛光山麓「山海書苑」展示韻律書法作品特展.

            2011年 : 應國立鳳山高中七十二週年校慶舉辦書法個展並當眾揮毫.

            2012年 : 接受高雄中學之邀請為其九十週年校慶舉辦書法揮毫大展.

            2013年 : 為逢甲大學卸任校長張保隆暨新任逢甲校友總會會長潘文方書寫大字書法由

                       高雄市校友會致贈 , 為卸任逢甲校友總會會長曾永權書寫大字書法，由逢甲大

                       學總會校友接典禮致贈。

MASTER PIECES :

Calligraphy Master – Dr. Wang Cheng Yi created unique calligraphy , “ Rhythmic Calligraphy “,” Horizontal writing & Vertical read” “ continuous soft writing” “ Blind Calligraphy “ won a good reputation in Taiwan, Southern Eastern Asia ,while Dr. wang in creation , he will let himself merge in mind released and tranquil , clear Bosom to sea heart , meditate on musical rhyme , heart and rhyme joint together ,then wet brush and ink ,he can write with pleased mind from brush tip and write a continuous soft word, This kind of writing included hidden swift handy craft writing and strong ,soft rhyme music.

RHYTHMIC CALLIGRAPHY:

With elegant and shaking wield way , stimulate our Inner strong , sensitive feeling , so as to create Rhythmic inspiration. Then , wield the brush breathless ,Finished writing at one stroke , which will effect Perfectly and harmoniously the painting and the Calligraphy

BLIND CALLIGRAPHY

First , meditate on musical rhyme ,And sit quietly until you entered The Zen and felt the mind released and tranquil. In the darkness , You could wield the brush freely As you wish. And , at a glance .Effect the blind brush calligraphy Embodied with the shape of Pictograph , running and cursive Hand.

Career:

1972: Had lived in Tokyo , Japan Over than 10 years, good Associated with Japanese Calligraphy World

1978: Founded a Large Kaohsiung China Calligraphy and held an Announcement meeting of Rhythmic Calligraphy

1980: Held an Art- work exhibition at Large Kaohsiung Calligraphy Society.

1982: Art Work was invited to participate the Art Exhibition in National Science Committee of France.

1984 in May: Invited by the Shin Hua T.V. station of New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles , and showed the Rhythmic

                   Calligraphy on the spot.

1984 in June: Invited by Mrs. Yu , Chiag Yueh-kuei , Secretary of State of California , to participate in Charity

                    Sales of Philanthropy Cultural Center at San Francisco.

1985 in May: Participated in Kaohsiung International Women’s Club , and showed the calligraphy on the spot

1986 in Jan.: Invited by International Lotus Festival , Los Angeles, U.S.A , and showed the calligraphy on the pot in The

                   Asian Descendant Folk Arts Activity. And won honorably an Honor Citation awarded by the President of

                   U.S.A , Reagan.

1986 in June: Invited by Mr. Shibahara Uki , Board chairman of Asia Fine Arts Interchange Association , Tokyo , Japan ,

                   to Participate in International Arts Festival

1987 in March: Invited by Rotary Club of Kaohsiung West , International Rotary Club and showed the calligraphy on the

                      spot.

1987 in June: Invited by International Lions Club to show the calligraphy On the stop in Ambassador Hotel of Kaohsiung

1988: Invited by Feng-Chia University to show the calligraphy On the spot in Ambassador Hotel of Kaohsiung

1990- 97: Invited by International Rotary Club made speech for issuing of Rhythmic calligraphy travelling around Taiwan

              and showed the calligraphy on the spot.

1998 : Awarded Honorary Doctor of philosophy from Sussex College UK for contributing the Chinese Calligraphy- Dr.

          Wang’s Rhythmic calligraphy to Show the creation of Chinese Culture

1999: Gained National Top 10 Artist from President Hall of ROC and attended the World Peace Prize Awarding

         Ceremony with Vice President Lu-Hsiu Lien and showed the calligraphy

2000 : Showed the Calligraphy beside Carp Long Mt. Pingdon , all with Golden word

2002 : Accepted the state visiting by China Television Corp. and showing different hose calligraphy in horse year

2003: Gained the Outstanding Alumnus of National Feng-Shan Senior high school and Held the personal Exhibition of his

         Calligraphy , and Accepted the state visiting by Chicago TV USA for Eastern Culture art program  

2004: Invited by Da Ai TV Corp. to show Big “ Buddha” word ,in 4ftX 8 ft Couplet.

2005: Invited by Feng-Chia University( FCU ) for celebrating President Dr Chang 90th year old birthday and former

         president Dr Lao 95th year old Birthday , Showing Long life and Couplet

2008: Invited by Kaohsiung Daode Yuan for Meijin Tenno Heiko -Emperor of Japan ,Your Majesty ‘s cousin FUSIMI

         HILOAKI team of Japan Culture develop Association , Showing the calligraphy at Kaohsiung Culture Center , gifting

         calligraphy and received great kindness , at same time , gained Culture & Art honorary Doctor degree.

         Invited by Tiantai –mountain 1-kuan-tao Feng-Shan branch pulpit showed “TaoKuanTianDi”.

2009: For celebrating the Chinese new year of Feng-Chia University Alumni Association from all over the world  showing

         Calligraphy at Fo Guang Shan Cloud living building.

2010 : Exhibited Rhythmic calligraphy at Mountain Sea College ,near Fo Guang Shan.

2011: Invited by National Feng-Shan Senior High School for celebrating 72th Anniversary held the calligraphy Exhibition

        showing the calligraphy on the spot.

2012: Invited by Kaohsiung Senior High school for celebrating 90th Anniversary showing the calligraphy on the spot.

2013: For relieving FCU President Pao-Long Chang and New FCU Alumni Association President Wen-Fon Pan, gifted by

         Kaohsiung FCU Alumni Association

         For relieving FCU Alumni Association President Yung-Chuan Zhang Gifted By FCU Alumni Association in

         President- transfer Ceremony.
